About Your Newborn Session

The newborn stage is incredibly fleeting, and Newborn photography allows you to capture the priceless moments of those first days and weeks of your baby’s life. Choosing the right photographer is paramount; a skilled professional not only understands how to pose and gently handle newborns but also creates a safe, calm environment for the entire family. As your newborn photographer, it is my job to preserve this moment in timeless portraits and images, allowing you to cherish these memories for a lifetime.
Each session is tailored to your family’s own personal style and I have several props and accessories that I will choose from, based on your preferences, to bring with me. I encourage you to look through them when I arrive to help me further customize the look and feel of your session. I will bring along everything that you would expect to see in a studio newborn session into the comfort of your own home. Items include lighting (as needed), posing equipment, a small space warmer, sound machine, blankets, bonnets, wraps, props, and more!
All of my Newborn Sessions take place on-location in my clients’ Fort Worth, Dallas and surrounding area homes. I am located in the Cultural District near Downtown Fort Worth and will travel to clients’ homes anywhere within the DFW metroplex at no additional travel charge. Newborn sessions work best when baby is from 5-21 days old and typically begin in late morning, lasting 2-4 hours. I am able to work with babies within my session flow to adjust to their needs and comfort. Rest assured, your baby’s safety and comfort are my top priority at all times. I typically begin with the newborn on the posing stand and incorporate parents and siblings into the flow. Then, I will casually guide you and your family through a variety of poses and setups designed to capture the connections in your household between you, your family (even pets!) and baby.
